In an effort to encourage public participation in national events, 10,000 special guests from various sectors have been invited to witness the 76th Republic Day Parade. The invitees include individuals who have achieved significant success in various fields as well as beneficiaries of government schemes.
The guests will include village sarpanches with outstanding performances, disaster management workers, members of self-help groups (SHG), skilled artisans, renewable energy workers, accredited social health activists (ASHA workers), and indigenous community beneficiaries.
Additionally, those who have made notable achievements in sectors such as agriculture, environmental conservation, health, and skill development are also invited. Para-athletes, winners in international sports, startup founders, patent holders, and school competition winners will be part of the celebrations. Preference has been given to those who have never visited Delhi and those who have excelled in implementing government initiatives.
Farmers and families who have contributed to promoting environmental conservation and renewable energy under the Surya Ghar and PM Kusum schemes will also be present at the parade. The guests will have the opportunity to not only witness the parade but also interact with senior ministers and visit key sites such as the National War Memorial, the PM’s Museum, and other prominent places in Delhi.
