New Delhi: Five more people have been arrested in connection with the drowning of students at the IAS coaching center in Delhi. With this, the number of people arrested in the case has increased to seven. The driver who damaged the gate of the coaching center was arrested.
The inspection conducted by the Delhi Corporation found that the coaching center was working in violation of the rules. It is reported that the library and classroom were operating in the basement of the coaching center illegally. The fire force had only given permission for the basement to be used as a store room. The Delhi Fire Force’s inspection report has been handed over to the police.
Whoever is guilty of the incident will not be spared. DCP M Harshavardhan said that strict action will be taken against those responsible for the accident. According to the report, a notice will be sent to the Delhi Corporation and the officials will be summoned. The police are also checking the records of other coaching centers operating in the area. The Delhi Corporation has closed 13 coaching centers in Old Rajender Nagar after they were found to be conducting illegal classes.
