Acid attack on girl students, Malayali student arrested in Karnataka

Mangaluru: A Malayali student was arrested in Karnataka for acid attack on girl students. The incident happened in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka. Three students of the college were attacked with acid. Abin (23) was taken into police custody in the incident.

On Monday morning, the students were directly attacked in the college. It is reported that the assailant threw acid on the faces of the students when they were about to enter the hall for the examination. The students Anila CB, Archana and Amrita were burnt. It is reported that the student who was seriously injured in the attack is also a Malayali.

One of the injured is in critical condition. All the three students were admitted to the government hospital in Kadaba. They will be shifted to a hospital in Mangalore immediately for specialist treatment. It is reported that Abin, who was taken into police custody, is a native of Malappuram Nilambur. The defendant holds an M.B.A. is a student.
