It is revealed that training on derailing trains by placing various objects on the tracks is being provided in madrasas online. A joint investigation by NIA and Uttar Pradesh ATS revealed that such a conspiracy took place in Jhansi and Kanpur.
It has been discovered that students of some madrasas are being incited to derail trains by turning them into terrorists. In addition, youths are being trained for this purpose. As part of the investigation, agencies are conducting raids at various madrasas in the region. The investigation team has also recovered several videos.
Such training is provided through online mode. The recovered videos also contain information about such training. A madrasa teacher named Mufti Khalid Nadvi is being questioned in connection with the conspiracy.
On Thursday, the ATS team raided Nadvi’s house and questioned him for several hours. Later, they tried to shift him to the police station for further questioning. However, a group of radical Islamists attacked the convoy and freed Nadvi. Later, the police took him into custody again and are questioning him.
