Arvind Kejriwal was granted anticipatory bail in the Delhi liquor scam case

New Delhi: Relief for Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal in liquor corruption case. Delhi Rose Avenue court granted bail in case of non-appearance despite summons by ED. Bail was granted on a surety of Rs 15,000. The court will continue hearing on EDU’s application. The case will be considered again on April 1. The court directed the ED to respond to Kejriwal’s application requesting the documents of the case.

Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate had issued several summons to Kejriwal in the liquor case but he did not turn up for questioning. Subsequently, the Enforcement Directorate approached the court seeking permission to prosecute Kejriwal, who did not appear despite being summoned.

The chief minister dismissed eight summons sent by the ED. Kejriwal spoke to Samir Mahendru, one of the accused in the case, on a video call and asked him to work with Vijay Nair, another accused in the case. Yesterday, ED arrested BRS leader K. Kavitha in the liquor case
