Chanted pro-Pakistan slogans; Madhya Pradesh High Court orders to chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai and salute the tricolor flag

Bhopal: In a case involving the chanting of “Pakistan slogans,” the court has directed the accused to chant “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” 21 times, twice a month. The Madhya Pradesh High Court issued this directive to Faisal Khan, a resident of Mandideep in Raisen district, Madhya Pradesh, who runs a puncture shop in Bhopal. The directive was given while considering Faisal Khan’s bail application.

As per the court order, Faisal Khan must salute the tricolor flag and chant “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” on the first and fourth Tuesdays of every month. The order was issued by Justice Dinesh Kumar Paliwal’s single bench. Faisal is required to salute the tricolor flag installed at the local police station under the supervision of the Bhopal Police Commissioner and chant the slogan 21 times.

This is to be done between 10 AM and 12 PM. Additionally, Faisal Khan is required to deposit ₹50,000 for his bail to be granted. The court emphasized that this condition was imposed to instill a sense of pride and responsibility in Faisal regarding the country he was born in and the place where he lives.

Furthermore, the police commissioner has been directed to ensure that this condition is followed, and strict action will be taken if it is not complied with. A copy of the High Court order has also been sent to the Bhopal Police Commissioner.
