Lebanon: Israel has claimed responsibility for the killing of a Hezbollah district commander in southern Lebanon, stating that they will eliminate Hezbollah entirely. Israel has also seized control of southern Lebanon, further expanding their territorial borders. The areas captured include Islamic regions and enemy strongholds.
Regarding the overnight military operations in Lebanon, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) announced that a Hezbollah district commander, Jalal Mustafa Hariri, was killed in an airstrike in southern Lebanon. Hariri was responsible for planning and executing terrorist operations against Israel, which led to the decision to eliminate him.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah launched rockets and missiles toward Israel. The IDF confirmed that approximately 30 rockets were fired from Lebanon, most of which were intercepted, although some impacted sites in Galilee.
During the airstrike in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah’s district commander of Kafr Kanna, Jalal Mustafa Hariri, was killed. Hariri was responsible for planning and implementing terrorist activities against Israel, which led to his assassination.
Several militants using anti-tank guns and artillery fire were also killed in this attack. Simultaneously, the IDF continued their raids on Hezbollah posts in southern Lebanon. The Israeli forces have so far faced minimal resistance in the ground battle against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Israel has also destroyed critical infrastructure, buildings, services, bridges, highways, and homes in southern Lebanon through airstrikes. As a result, southern Lebanon now resembles Gaza, reduced to ruins by Israeli forces.
The IDF reported that dozens of Hezbollah militants were killed, and two warehouses in civilian areas, stocked with weapons like shells, mortars, Kornet missiles, and anti-tank guided missiles, were discovered. Additionally, four tunnel entrances used as terrorist hideouts were located, the IDF said on Wednesday.
During the operation, terrorists launched an anti-tank missile at Israeli forces before fleeing. The air force responded by targeting the militants.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah claimed their militants engaged with Israeli soldiers in a point-blank battle near the village of Al-Qawth, southern Lebanon.
A separate report from Lebanon indicated that UN officials were digging mass graves for the growing number of casualties. As more people die in the war, more graves are being constructed due to the lack of burial space. This suggests that the conflict in Lebanon is expected to escalate further in the coming days. The World Health Organization (WHO) also warned of a potential cholera outbreak in Lebanon due to the discovery of acute and deadly diarrhea cases in the war-torn region.
At the same time, Israeli forces intercepted drones coming from Iran, which were heading towards Israel over the Mediterranean Sea, the military reported.
Other war updates: Israel has complied with the U.S. warning to halt arms supplies unless food and medicine are delivered to Gaza. As a result, the IDF delivered medicines and food to Gaza via 50 trucks. Israel has assured that the UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon were not targeted. The ground war in Lebanon will continue intensively, stated the Israeli Defense Minister. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also mentioned that they are planning attacks against Iran.
