The number of coronavirus patients is increasing day by day in the country. A large number of new patients are being received in various states including Maharashtra, Delhi. In the last 24 hours, 9983 corona patients have been found in the country. In this way, the total number has crossed 2.5 million in the country.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, the number of corona patients in the country at present is 256611. At the same time, 7135 people have lost their lives due to infection so far.
At the same time, shopping malls, religious places, hotels, and restaurants have reopened in the country since Monday after being closed for almost two and a half months. During this period, there will be arrangements like a token system for entry under the new rules, while there will be no distribution of offerings, etc. in temples. The opening of all these sites may present new challenges amidst increasing cases of coronavirus infection.
The new phase is particularly challenging for the five worst-hit states, with around 70 percent of total infection cases in the country and about 78 percent of deaths in these five states. Maharashtra has the highest number of 85,975 cases of infection in the country. This is followed by 31667 cases in Tamil Nadu, 27654 in Delhi, 20070 in Gujarat and 10599 in Rajasthan. After these five worst-affected states, the number of cases in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh is close to ten thousand.
Cases are also increasing in states like West Bengal. The number of infected people has increased to 8,187 with the maximum number of 449 cases reported on a day for the third consecutive day. Record cases have also been reported in Tamil Nadu, Haryana and Jammu, and Kashmir in a single day. The total number of patients has reached 4,087 with 620 new cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir.

The number of people infected with this deadly virus in the state rose to 85,975 after 3,007 new cases of Coronavirus infection were reported in Maharashtra on Sunday. The official said that cases of coronavirus infection in Maharashtra have exceeded the cases of China. There are 83,036 confirmed cases of infection in China. However, there is some good news from Mumbai’s Dharavi, which remains a very affected area.
