Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is all set to celebrate this year’s Vijayadasami with troops from Darjeeling and Sikkim. The Minister will visit Darjeeling and Sikkim today and tomorrow to interact with the troops and hold celebrations. Rajnath Singh is expected to inaugurate the Border Road Organization’s infrastructure project during his two – day visit. It is reported that he will leave for Sikkim in the afternoon and will visit some military posts during the trip. 
The minister will perform ‘Ayudha Pooja’ tomorrow. Prior to this, he had conducted Ayudha Puja when he was the Home Minister. During a visit to France last year, he performed weapons worship in the port city of Bordeaux. Meanwhile, military sources said Rajnath Singh’s visit to Sikkim and Darjeeling would give more courage to the troops.
Rajnath Singh visits these places as part of the Dussehra celebrations. The visit is on Saturday and Sunday. The visit was announced by the office of the Minister of Defense. Rajnath Singh is visiting Darjeeling and Sikkim to join the troops in the Dussehra celebrations. On the day of Dussehra, he will perform Shastra Puja. After visiting military areas in both areas, he will interact with officials. Apart from this, Rajnath Singh will inaugurate a new project of the Border Roads Organization.
It is learned that the Defense Minister will return to Sikkim tomorrow afternoon to attend the Dussehra celebrations. Rajnath Singh will celebrate Dussehra with troops deployed in the highlands of Sikkim.
