The people of Delhi will cast their votes today as polling takes place across 70 constituencies. A total of 699 candidates are contesting in the elections. To facilitate the voting process, 13,766 polling booths have been set up, out of which 3,000 have been classified as sensitive. Delhi has over 1.5 crore registered voters.
Polling will begin at 7:00 AM. Major political parties actively campaigned, highlighting key public issues and corruption allegations. In light of the elections, security has been tightened in the capital. A total of 220 paramilitary units and 30,000 police personnel have been deployed to ensure smooth conduct. The votes will be counted on Saturday.
