Kozhikode: BJP National President JP Nadda said that as the first phase of Lok Sabha polls is going on, every vote of the people will be against corruption, nepotism and favor politics. Every vote is also a determination to fulfill the goal of a safe India, a prosperous India and a developed India. He appealed to all the people to participate in the democratic process by casting their votes.
“Every vote will strengthen villages, empower women, give wings to the aspirations of youth and be an asset to farmers moving forward with self-respect. So every vote of yours is valuable, JP Nadda said.
Voting for 102 seats in 21 states and Union Territories is in progress in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections which started around 7 am. Voters can register their right to vote till 6 pm. According to the information released by the Election Commission, a total of 1.87 lakh polling stations have been set up. 18 lakh officers have been appointed in all 102 constituencies. The second phase of polling is on April 26.
