The incident took place at Ganpur in Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh. The woman was returning after withdrawing money from the bank. According to the complaint, the woman was raped by her husband’s friends in a vehicle on the pretext of taking her home.

A case has been registered against four persons at Ganpur station. Two of them were arrested. The search for the two is continuing. The SP said the woman would undergo a medical examination.

A similar incident took place in Balrampur in UP itself. The girl, who was seriously injured in the rape, died before reaching the hospital. The mutilated body of a Dalit girl who went missing from her body in Kanpur was found yesterday. The Opposition has alleged that violence against women and Dalits continues in UP because the government and police are protecting criminals.

A 19-year-old Dalit girl was gang-raped on September 14 in Hathras. The boy was allegedly molested by four men when he went to collect pet food. The girl, who was brutally attacked, broke her spine. The assailants cut out the child’s tongue. The girl died on September 30 at a hospital in Delhi.
