Gold worth Rs 26 lakh was stolen by sprinkling chilli powder and the bank manager himself was trapped in his own complaint

A big breakthrough in the case of stealing gold worth Rs 26 lakh by throwing chilli powder in the bank manager’s eyes. Rahul Raghunath, a manager of a private bank in Muvattupuzha, filed a complaint that a two-member gang threw chili powder in his eyes and robbed him of gold while riding a bike.

However, during the police investigation, it was found that everything was a play by Rahul Raghunath. He made up the story that gold worth Rs 26 lakh was looted to replace the gold which was found to be deficient in the audit of his own company.

Rahul Raghunath himself lodged a complaint with the police alleging that a two-member gang robbed him of his gold near the Trikka temple at noon. The complaint was that a two-member group on a two-wheeler threw chilli powder in his eyes and robbed him of gold worth Rs 26 lakh.
