Great diplomatic win for India: the sailors who were held captive were released

The Indians on the Israeli ship, which were hijacked by Iranian forces, were released unconditionally. Iran’s hijacking of an Israeli ship is a major diplomatic victory for India. This is equivalent to Iran surrendering to India. Now Iran’s action can be interpreted as abduction and imprisonment of Indians because they worked on the Israeli ship.

Narendra Modi has literally implemented what the Indian Department of External Affairs stated at the beginning of this issue that there will be no Indian in Iran’s custody and Iran does not have the authority to imprison Indian citizens. It was diplomacy that changed Iran’s mind and freed the Indians. In a diplomatic breakthrough, the Indian embassy in Iran has now officially announced that five of the Indian sailors aboard an Israel-linked ship seized by Tehran have been released from Iran on Thursday.

The families of those released thanked the central government and Narendra Modi while sharing details of their release, the Indian Embassy said. He also thanked the country of Iran for changing its position. The Iranian authorities also thanked Narendra Modi for the Indian move that led to resolving the crisis. Thanking the Iranian authorities for their close coordination with the Indian Consulate in Bandar Abbas, five Indian sailors from MSC Aries were released and left Iran in the evening.

This is Iran’s move which was defeated by Narendra Modi here. Indians, bargain in front of Israel. Narendra Modi and India should take a stand against Israel to get the Indian sailors released. Call for an end to the Gaza war. Thus, Iran’s hostage drama to keep India on the anti-Israel side and on the side of Hamas was going to fail. Now 5 sailors are being released from Iran’s custody without a single scratch or hair change in the intense India-Israel relationship. On April 13, Iran seized a cargo ship with 17 Indian nationals.

The ship was hijacked in revenge for Israel’s missile killing of Iran’s corps in Lebanon and to get Israel’s pin from Gaza. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy was seizing a container ship near the Strait of Hormuz. MSC Aries was on its way from the Gulf with cargo. Iran hijacked the cargo bound for Israel on April 13. Ann Tessa Joseph, a native of Thrissur, Kerala, who was one of the 17 Indian crew members of the ship ‘MSC Aries’, returned home safely on April 18.

Out of the 17 Indian crew members, one has returned to India safely and the others are safe, the Ministry of External Affairs said, adding that they will be released after fulfilling their contractual obligations, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal told a weekly press conference on April 25.

It is clear from Iran’s hostage taking by Indians that they will do whatever it takes to achieve their goals. Without any issue with Iran, this move against India was made by Iran during the peace period and the Indian people were held hostage. The Indian government has given a strong message that Iran’s nuts will not be boiled in this pot.
