Srinagar: Security forces killed two militants in an hours-long encounter on Saturday in Anantnag district. One of the militants was local, and the other was a foreign national. Weapons were also recovered. Officials stated that the encounter is still ongoing in the area.
The clash took place near Halken Gali in the Shangas-Larnu area of South Kashmir. Further details about the killed militants are not yet available. Meanwhile, an encounter is also underway between security forces and militants in Srinagar’s Khanyar area. So far, no casualties have been reported on either side, officials said.
