New Delhi. After the collapse of the BJP-JJP alliance in Haryana, the BJP made Nayab Singh Saini the chief minister. Saini is currently BJP state president and MP from Kurukshetra constituency. The new government takes office within hours of the resignation of the Ghattar government.
The new chief minister will take oath at 5 pm on Tuesday. Naib Singh Saini became the state president of BJP last year. It has been decided to field Manohar Lal Khattar from Karna constituency in the Lok Sabha elections.
The reason for the rift in the alliance is the dispute over the division of seats in the Lok Sabha elections.
