In Kashmir, Terrorists Abduct and Killed Village Leaders

In Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists abducted and killed two village defense guards, Naseer Ahmad and Kuldeep Kumar, who were reportedly taken from the Munsal Dhar forest area in Adwari on Thursday. Officials noted the guards were kidnapped while out grazing cattle, a routine activity in the region.

The attack comes days after a grenade explosion at the Sunday market in Srinagar, which left 12 people injured. The Kashmir Tigers, a faction of Jaish-e-Mohammed, claimed responsibility for the killings, sharing images of the blindfolded bodies. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and leaders from Congress and BJP condemned the brutal incident. A massive search operation is underway to track down the perpetrators.
