The Sapor Police in Jammu and Kashmir along with 52 Rashtriya Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) started the Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) at Potka Mukkam and Channpora Athora. Here 4 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist accomplices were arrested. Jammu and Kashmir Police informed that further investigation is going on. Earlier, three militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. A police officer said that on the basis of intelligence of the presence of militants in the Junimar area of the city, security forces surrounded the area on Sunday morning and launched a search operation.

Army killed 92 terrorists this year
So far in 2020, security forces have killed 92 terrorists in 36 operations. While more than 126 helpers have been arrested. More than 150 militants were killed in 2019 and more than 250 in 2018. Of the 92 terrorists killed, only 35 are from Hizbul. Several commanders, including the commander-in-chief of the organization, Riyaz Naiku, have also been killed.
After Eid, the security forces have stepped up their operations against the terrorists and have monitored the top leadership of the terrorist groups. Commander Adil Ahmed Wani of the Islamic State of Jammu and Kashmir and Shaheen Ahmed of Lashkar-e-Taiba were killed in Kulgam on 25 May. On May 30, Hajbul Mujahideen commander Parvez Ahmed and Jaish-e-Mohammad’s top commander Shakir Ahmed were gunned down by the security forces in the Vanpora area of Kulgam.
