Joint Operation by BSF and ATS: Reports Indicate Five Maoists Killed

Delhi: A joint operation by the BSF and ATS has resulted in the killing of five Maoists in Kanker, Chhattisgarh.

SP Indira Kalyani Elesela confirmed the incident. Two soldiers were injured in the encounter and have been shifted to a hospital in Raipur, with their condition reported to be stable. The bodies of the five deceased Maoists have been recovered.

No further detailed information has been received from the encounter site, and the operation is still ongoing, said the SP. He also mentioned that the number of Maoists killed could rise.
