Liquor policy case; Kavitha did not cooperating with CBI

New Delhi: BRS leader K Kavita is not cooperating with the interrogation in the liquor scam case in the CBI court. The CBI told the court that Kavitha was giving statements against the evidence and giving deliberately evasive answers.

The CBI said that Kavitha had not given a proper answer about receiving Rs 14 crore from Sarath Chandra Reddy’s company under the guise of a land deal and had not explained the meeting with Vijay Nair, the accused in the case. The CBI told the court that if the accused is granted bail, the witnesses may be influenced.

The CBI has stated that digital evidence is being collected and the case investigation is at a critical stage. Kavita has been remanded in judicial custody till the 23rd of this month in the liquor scam case. Kavitha’s CBI custody term ended today, and they were ordered to be remanded in judicial custody.
