Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced her resignation amid protests over the murder of a woman doctor. After waiting for two hours hoping that the doctors would talk, the Chief Minister of Bengal said in a press conference that he was ready to resign.
Mamata said that she is not overwhelmed by the high position and is ready to resign from the post of Chief Minister. The government accepted the demand of the doctors that the chief minister should be present in the meeting but rejected the demand for live communication. It was also suggested that more than 15 people should not participate in the discussion.
