Kolkata: Just as the results of the Lok Sabha elections were about to be announced, West Bengal was bombarded. The bombing took place in Kashipur and Bhangar in North Bengal. The incident happened around 3 am today.
5 people were injured in the attack. Police informed that one of the injured is a member of ISF panchayat and five injured have been admitted to hospital. Those injured have 30 to 50 percent burns.
North Kashipur and Bhangar were the areas that saw the most attacks during the polling period. Officials said that there is a possibility of more attacks with the announcement of the results and security arrangements have been made. Allegations are that Trinamool Congress goons are behind the bomber.
