Nagpur, Maharashtra: A powerful explosion occurred at an ordnance factory in Bhandara district, claiming eight lives and leaving around ten others critically injured. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari confirmed the casualties, stating that the initial death toll stands at eight but may rise further.
The incident took place at around 10:30 AM in the factory’s L.T.P section. The explosion caused the factory’s roof to collapse, trapping workers underneath. Rescue teams initially managed to save three workers alive, but one succumbed on the spot. Excavators were used to clear the debris and retrieve those trapped beneath, according to a senior factory official.
