Nirmala Sitharaman’s Budget Presentation Day Attire: Elegant Off-White Handloom Saree

The attire chosen by the finance ministers on the day of the budget presentation is of special note. Nirmala Sitharaman, who arrived to present her seventh budget, wore an off-white checkered handloom saree and a purple and pink blouse to match the saree.

During the budget presentation, the Finance Minister stated that in the next two years, organic farming will be started involving one crore farmers across the country. Nirmala Sitharaman said that certification and branding will be ensured for this. It will be implemented through research institutes and willing Gram Panchayats. The Finance Minister said that 10,000 Bio Input Resource Centers will be set up as per the requirement.

Nirmala Sitharaman said that 109 new field and horticultural crops of 32 varieties with high productivity will be launched for the farmers. Nirmala Sitharaman said, “By transforming agricultural research, it will focus on increasing productivity and developing climate-resilient varieties. Nirmala Sitharaman clarified that funding will be provided in challenge mode to private sector and government sector including domain experts and will supervise the conduct of such research.
