The Union Health Ministry gave relief in the guidelines set for handing over the dead bodies of those who lost their lives in suspected cases of Kovid-19 to their families for the last rites. Now in such cases, the family will not have to wait for the confirmation of the laboratory results to get the body.
The ministry on Sunday wrote to the Delhi government that in suspected cases of Kovid-19, the dead body should be handed over to the family without waiting for the results of the lab but the body should be kept under the guidelines set by the government. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan also informed the people through this tweet.
More than 10,000 cases of Kovid-19 within six days
In Delhi, more than ten thousand new cases of coronavirus were reported within six days and the total number of infected people crossed 40,000. In this context, on an average, more than 1,600 new cases were reported here every day. This fact came to light in the analysis of the data of the Delhi government.
Infection cases took eight days to reach 20,000 to 30,000 while it took 13 days to reach 10,000 to 20,000. On June 9, infection cases crossed 30,000 and on June 14, the total cases exceeded 40,000.
On Sunday, 2,224 new cases were reported in Delhi, which is the highest number of new cases reported in a day. With this, a total of 41,000 cases of infection were reported on Sunday and the death toll reached 1,327. The Delhi government has said that by the end of July, there may be 5.5 lakh cases of infection in Delhi.
