New Delhi: The second phase of the Budget Session of Parliament begins today. The government’s main agenda in the session, which will discuss the Finance Bill, is to approve grants, impose President’s rule in Manipur, and pass the Waqf Bill.
The opposition is preparing to mount a defense against the government citing fresh incidents of violence in Manipur. They will also raise allegations of tampering with the voter list. Rahul Gandhi had alleged that there were double votes in the voter list.
The opposition will also raise India’s handling of the Trump administration. Tariff issues with the US will also be raised in the House. The second phase of the budget session will end on April 4.
