President Draupadi Murmu visited the Sri Rama Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya. This is the President’s first visit to the Ram Temple. The chief priest Acharya Satyendradas and other priests were with the President. Footage of the President bowing down to Ram Lalla by performing aarti was also released.
Before visiting the Ram Temple, the President visited the Hanuman Garhi Temple in Ayodhya and offered prayers. He also participated in the Aarti on the banks of Sarayu river. The President who reached Ayodhya was received by Governor Anandi Ben Patel.
Droupadi Murmu sought Ram Lalla’s blessings at a time when the opposition is making a political controversy over the President’s absence, including at the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. The false propaganda of the opposition was that the President was excluded because she was a tribal.
