Prime Minister Extends Greetings on the Anniversary of Ayodhya Ram Temple Consecration

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to the nation on the anniversary of the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He described the construction of the temple as the result of centuries of sacrifice. Modi shared his message via X (formerly Twitter).

The consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol at the Ram Temple was held with great celebration on January 22 last year. Modi himself officiated as the chief participant in the rituals. As part of the anniversary celebrations, Ayodhya is witnessing a massive influx of devotees.

“I extend my best wishes to all Indians. The Ram Temple is a result of centuries of sacrifice, penance, and struggle. This temple represents our culture, spirituality, and heritage. I am confident that the Ram Temple will serve as an inspiration for realizing India’s development,” Modi wrote on X.

Meanwhile, the first anniversary of the Prana Pratishtha (idol consecration) will be celebrated from today through January 13. The temple trust announced that 110 prominent personalities and general devotees who could not attend last year’s event have been invited to the celebrations. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the celebrations and perform the Abhishekam (ritual anointment) of Ram Lalla.
