Prime minister Narendra Modi announces RS 100 is reduced on cooking gas cylinder on Women’s Day

Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that LPG gas cylinder will be reduced by 100 rupees in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed about this through X platform. He added that this step will help in reducing the financial burden of crores of families across the country and will benefit women power.

Meanwhile, the central cabinet meeting yesterday decided to continue the subsidy of Rs 300 per gas cylinder. The Union Cabinet meeting held yesterday decided to continue the subsidy for Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries till 2025.

Ujjwala Yojana is a scheme to provide LPG cylinders to women below the poverty line. Along with this, the central government has also decided to launch a national ‘AI’ mission. The Union Cabinet meeting held yesterday also decided to allocate Rs 10,000 crore for the project.
