Three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam. Security forces conducted a search operation late on Monday after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the Redwani area of Kulgam, news agency PTI reported, quoting officials.
The police said that the victims have not been identified. Last month, security was increased in the region in the wake of continuous attacks by terrorists on government officials in Kashmir.
Kulgam is part of the Anantnag – Rajouri constituency where polls are scheduled to take place. Elections will be held here on 25th of this month. Last week, a soldier was martyred and four others were injured in a terrorist attack in Poonch.
