There are rumors that self-proclaimed godman Nithyananda, who claimed to be fighting for the establishment of Sanatana Dharma, has passed away. Sundareswaran, Nithyananda’s sister’s son and also a follower, stated that Swami had sacrificed his life. This information was conveyed during a video conference with Nithyananda’s followers.
Nithyananda had been embroiled in controversies since 2010 when a video featuring him with an actress was leaked. In 2019, he left India after Gujarat police initiated arrest proceedings based on a complaint by a Tamil couple who alleged that their three children had been abducted.
Reports suggested that he was living on an island near Ecuador along with his followers. He had continued to deliver spiritual discourses online and even claimed to have founded a nation named “Kailasa.” In 2022, similar rumors about his death had surfaced, but he had refuted them by appearing online and stating that he was under medical supervision due to health issues. However, in recent times, there had been no new video discourses from him.
