Jaipur: In Rajasthan, the Sabarmati-Agra Superfast train derailed near Madar railway station in Ajmer. The incident happened around 1 am on Monday morning. Four coaches and the engine of the train derailed.
It is reported that many passengers were injured. They were taken to Ajmer for treatment. Rescue teams including Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP), Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) and senior officials are at the spot.
But it is not clear how the coaches are. Railways has announced an inquiry into the incident. After the accident, the train traffic through this route was disrupted. Repairs are in progress.
