Chennai: The country has become a hub for digital infrastructure. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that more than 43.3 crore digital transactions are done every month. Pallavarat Vikasit Bharat 2047 Ambassador mentioned this while speaking at the Campus Dialogue.

The progress of startups in the country has led the country to export to other countries and manufacture mobile phones in addition to domestic consumption. The minister also pointed out that the central government’s efforts are behind such progress.

Production Linked Incentive Schemes have also been instrumental in motivating various industries to invest in solar energy and green hydrogen. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that it is in the future to make progress in the renewable energy sector as well and for this we have joined hands with other countries.

Startups are also starting to enter the space sector. Recently, the space sector has been opened up for private investment. In the interim budget, the government has earmarked Rs 1 lakh crore for science and research. It is estimated that this will strengthen the growing startups in the country.
