The second phase of the trial in the actress assault case has begun

Kochi: The actress assault case was one of the most discussed issues in recent days. On September 17, the Supreme Court granted bail to the accused Pulsar Suni in connection with the case of assault on the actress.

The second phase of the trial in the case of assault on the actress has started. The court’s questioning began. Today’s proceedings are over and the accused including actor Dileep and Pulsar Suni have appeared. The trial was held in a closed room. The unveiling of the statues will continue tomorrow.

At present only the examination of the prosecution witnesses has been completed in the actress attack case. The defense witnesses have to be examined. Pulsar Suni is released from jail within a few months after hearing the final argument. Apart from this, the High Court is considering the petition filed by Atijeevitha regarding the illegal examination of the footage of the attack.

At the same time, the High Court had asked what was the interest of Dileep in Atijeetha’s plea to quash the investigation report related to the unauthorized checking of the memory card. The court also inquired as to why the eighth respondent had no objection from the state government to quash the fact-finding report. The court also pointed out that Dileep, the eighth defendant, was joined as a party and not as an opposing party in the petition of Atijeetha. The High Court said that the trial in the main case and the investigation in the memory card should proceed in parallel.
