Raipur: Security forces neutralized two Maoists in an encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Bokaro district. The operation resulted in the recovery of weapons, including an AK-47 rifle, according to officials.
This follows a significant operation yesterday in the forest areas near the Odisha border, where 14 Maoists were killed in a gunfight with security personnel. Among those killed was a top Maoist leader with a ₹1 crore bounty on his head.
The back-to-back encounters underline the intensification of anti-Maoist operations in the region, with security forces focusing on curbing insurgent activities in the dense forest belts of Chhattisgarh.
