New Delhi: On the 10th anniversary of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated its success in empowering girls and transforming societal attitudes. Reflecting on the past decade, he lauded the scheme as a “true example of people’s power” and credited its growth to public participation.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the scheme has succeeded in curbing gender discrimination, helping girls achieve their dreams, and fostering equality. He expressed gratitude to all partner organizations and individuals who made the initiative a widespread success.
Significant improvements were noted in districts previously struggling with low child sex ratios. Awareness campaigns under the scheme have encouraged citizens to embrace gender equality, ensuring protection, education, and opportunities for girls.
PM Modi also recognized the grassroots workers and stakeholders who contributed to the initiative’s success. “As we move forward, let us work together to create more opportunities for our daughters and bring even greater changes in the years to come,” he said.
The milestone is being marked with celebrations and a renewed commitment to building a society where girls can thrive without discrimination.
