Union Home Minister Amit Shah Appreciates Anti-Maoist Operation

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Maoists are only in a very small area in the country and soon Chhattisgarh and entire India will be Naxal free. Amit Shah took to Twitter to congratulate the security personnel who participated in the anti-Maoist operation in Kanker. Security forces have achieved great success in the state. He congratulated the officers who made the operation successful and wished the injured policemen a speedy recovery.

The minister said that as part of the government’s measures, the Maoists are only in a very small area and soon Chhattisgarh and entire India will be Naxal free. After Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, BJP The government has launched continuous campaigns against Naxalism and terrorism. Camps have been set up since 2014.

At least 250 camps were opened in Chhattisgarh after 2019 to eliminate Maoists. More than eighty naxalites were killed in the state within about three months of government formation. More than 125 Naxals were arrested. More than 150 Naxalites have surrendered, Amit Shah added.

An encounter broke out between Maoists and security forces in Binagunda village under Chotebethiya police station limits in Kankar. It is reported that 29 Maoists were killed. BSF and District Reserve Guard participated in the anti-Maoist operation.
