Union Home Minister Amit Shah has vowed to completely eradicate Naxalism from the country

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that Naxalism will be completely eradicated from the country by March 31, 2026. He urged Maoists to lay down their arms and surrender to the law. Shah made these remarks during a meeting with the victims of Naxal attacks from Chhattisgarh held in Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided that Naxal violence and its ideology will be eradicated from the country. March 31, 2026, has been designated as the final day for Naxalism in this country. Amit Shah assured that Naxalism would be eliminated before that date. Security forces have carried out several anti-Naxal operations.

They have successfully completed numerous operations against Maoists. He stated that Naxalism is now confined to only four districts in Chhattisgarh. The central government, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, has also dismantled the corridor that the Maoists once planned to establish, stretching from Pashupatinath (Nepal) to Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), Amit Shah pointed out.
