Delhi: The Bharat Gaurav train from India to Nepal was flagged off by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The travel package includes visits to places like Ayodhya, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Kashi Vishwanath, and Pashupatinath. Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that the journey would help travelers explore the cultural heritage of both India and Nepal. The train was flagged off from Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi.
The minister emphasized that the Bharat Gaurav trains offer a unique opportunity to experience Indian culture through rail travel. The new train route will allow tourists to explore the rich cultural heritage of both India and Nepal. All arrangements for accommodation and travel will be provided by Indian Railways, added Vaishnaw. The first Bharat Gaurav train was inaugurated in January 2022, from Coimbatore North Railway Station in Tamil Nadu to Sainagar Shirdi in Maharashtra. The IRCTC Bharat Tourist Train offers sleeper (non-AC), AC 3-tier, and AC 2-tier coaches. The travel package includes transportation, accommodation, meals, medical assistance, and travel insurance. Details on the cost for the Nepal journey will be announced by the railway authorities later.
