Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that the Assembly will convene soon and the government will prove its majority. He said the Congress MLAs were united and the government would prove a majority.
Congress spokesperson Ajay Maken said the party had faith in the numbers and would convene the assembly at an appropriate time. The Congress is hoping that dissident MLAs led by ousted Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot will also attend the assembly session.
The party is confident in the number of MLAs. Congress spokesman Ajay Maken also said on Thursday that the assembly would convene at an appropriate time to prove a majority. Rajasthan PCC president Govind Singh Dotsare also said that the government has the support of more MLAs than is needed to prove a majority.
The Rajasthan High Court will rule on Friday on the petition filed against the disqualification notice sent by the Speaker to the dissident MLAs. Earlier in the day, Gehlot had met Governor Kalraj Mishra.
