The first university in the world, the pride of India in front of the world.. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new campus of Nalanda University on Wednesday. India now owns the world’s largest university with an investment of 1749 crore rupees. No one can start such a big university in any country. India has now reconfirmed Nalanda’s name among the wonders of the world.
PM Modi said that India, the world’s largest democracy, is also the mother of the world’s first letters. He also said that during India’s heyday, many countries in the world did not even rise in the last 5 centuries.
The new campus of the university was established near the ancient ruins of the university. The first Nalanda University was established in the 5th century. That is, 1500 years ago. The heritage and vitality of our country lies in the fact that 1500 years ago in India there was a huge art gallery before the existence and discovery of the countries including America and Australia that we see today.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a plaque at the new campus of Nalanda University, inaugurated the campus and planted a sapling.
He also visited the ruins of the ancient Nalanda University before inaugurating the new campus. The archaeological site of Nalanda contains the remains of a famous monastic and educational center. The complex has various structures including stupas, shrines and viharas, which serve as residential and educational facilities. In addition, the site displays major works of art created using stucco, stone, and metal.

Later in the 12th century, those who invaded India destroyed Nalanda University. They smashed the buildings and crashed. Because the people who came and heard that it was a university, that was the only information they had at that time. The new campus built at a cost of Rs 1,749 crore will have two academic blocks with 40 classrooms and a total seating capacity of 1900 students. The new campus has two auditoriums, each with 300 seats, and a student hostel that can accommodate around 550 students. In addition, the campus has various facilities like an international centre, an amphitheater that can accommodate up to 2000 persons, a faculty club and a sports complex.
