Annapurna Devi joined the BJP five years ago after leaving Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal. Annapurnadevi has entered the Lok Sabha by winning from the Koderma seat in Jharkhand.
Shobha Karandlaje: Shobha Karandlaje, who was the Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Processing in the Narendra Modi government, will be in the cabinet in the third Narendra Modi government. Elected to the Lok Sabha from Karnataka, Shobha will hold the charge of Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Ministry of Labour.
Raksha Khadse: Raksha Khadse is the second youngest minister and the youngest woman minister in the third Narendra Modi government. Raksha, who is 37 years old, has taken charge as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Raksha is also the daughter-in-law of Nationalist Congress Party leader Eknath Khadse.
Anupriya Patel: Elected to the Lok Sabha from Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, Anupriya Patel is the Minister of State in the Ministry of Health, Family Welfare and Fertilizers in the third Narendra Modi cabinet. Anupriya Patel, who has also served as the Minister of State, is winning the Lok Sabha elections for the third time in a row.
Savitri Thakur : Savitri Thakur from Madhya Pradesh will hold the charge of Minister of State in the Ministry of Women and Child Development. Emerging from the background of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Savitri Thakur began her public career with activities for the upliftment of forest dwellers. Savitri Thakur was elected to the Lok Sabha from Dar Lok Sabha constituency in Madhya Pradesh by a majority of 2,18,665 votes defeating Rahul Gandhi’s close supporter Radheshyam Muail.
Nimuben Bambhania: Elected Lok Sabha MP from Gujarat, Nimu Ben Bambhania will serve as Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in the third Narendra Modi government. Nimu Ben was elected to the Lok Sabha by defeating Aam Aadmi Party’s Umesh Makwana by a margin of over four and a half lakh votes. Nimu Ben Bambhania, who was a teacher, entered the political arena through the Mahila Morcha and later served as the Mayor of Bhavnagar, Gujarat.
When Narendra Modi came to power as the Prime Minister of NDA for the third time, seven women ministers took over as the pride of the women community. Former Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, BJP MPs Annapoorna Devi, Shobha Karandlaje, Raksha Khadse, Savitri Thakur, Nimuben Bambhaniya and Apnadal MP Anupriya Patel are the women ministers in the new cabinet. Nirmala Sitharaman and Annapurna Devi became Cabinet Ministers while others were sworn in as Ministers of State.
