Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding the immediate resumption of flights to Dubai. This is due to the UAE government’s permission to return to Dubai.
The Chief Minister has asked the Civil Aviation Ministry to start aviation services, considering that many people working in Gulf countries, including Dubai, are looking forward to returning to work.
The Chief Minister said that Kerala is ready to conduct a Covid test for the returnees if needed.
Since July 10, the government of Dubai has granted permission for tourists and other travelers to board the flight. Residents were allowed to return by June 22. Those who register through the Dubai gdrfa.ae website are allowed to return.
