Arvind Kejriwal’s custody extended in liquor case The custody period has been extended till August 8. The order belongs to Rouse Avenue Court. Kejriwal is currently in Tihar Jail.
Meanwhile, the custody period of Manish Sisodia and BRS leader K Kavita has also been extended. Arvind Kejriwal was produced in the court through video conference from Tihar Jail. Earlier, the court had extended Kejriwal’s judicial custody till July 25 in the CBI case. The Supreme Court had granted interim bail in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) case related to the same scam.
A bench comprising Justices Sanjeev Khanna and Dipankar Dutta pointed out that certain legal questions arising out of Kejriwal’s plea against the central agency’s arrest should be left to a larger bench. The Chief Minister remained in Tihar Jail as he was specially arrested by the CBI in a corruption case.
