Mumbai: Maharashtra Police arrested the mother of Controversial IAS trainee Pooja Khedkar. Manorama Khedkar was taken into custody from a lodge in Raigarh this morning in a case of threatening farmers with a gun. A case was registered against them after the footage of them threatening the farmers with guns came out. This is why Manorama went into hiding. They were caught by the police this morning while they were hiding in Raigarh.
The police have registered a case against Manorama for illegal possession of firearms and threats. While the allegations against Pooja Khedkar were strong, a video of Manorama pointing a gun at the farmers was also circulated on social media.
Although the incident took place a year ago, the police filed a case after the video went viral. Manorama’s husband Dilip Khedkar is also accused in this case. However, he was not taken into custody.
Meanwhile, there were reports yesterday that the ration card submitted by Pooja Khedkar and the address given earlier were fake. YCM, Pune The national media had reported that the address given by Pooja to get the medical certificate from the hospital was completely fake. The address given by Pooja at the hospital was ‘No. 53, Dehu Alandi, Talwade, Pimpri Chinchwad’.
However, this is the address of ‘ThermoVerita Engineering Private Limited’. It is reported that this institution is not functioning at present. The Audi car used by Pooja was also registered in the name of the same company. According to the report, there is a tax arrears of around 2.70 lakh rupees to the Pimpri Chinchwad municipality on behalf of the company and the tax has not been paid for three years.
Pooja Khedkar also made a fake ration card at the same address. This ration card was used by the IAS when she applied for a medical certificate as a differently-abled person. Submitted to official hospital. On 24 August 2022, Pooja was granted a medical certificate from a hospital in Pune. The report also states that the knee has seven percent disability.
