Court rejects K Kavitha’s interim bail plea in Delhi liquor policy scam

New Delhi: A Delhi court has rejected the interim bail plea of ​​BRS leader K Kavitha, who is in judicial custody in the Delhi liquor scam. The Delhi Rouse Avenue Court rejected the bail plea. Kavitha approached the court citing her son’s exam.

Kavitha’s lawyer had argued that the case was politically motivated and fabricated. The ED argued that granting bail to Kavita would adversely affect the ongoing investigation. The ED had opposed the interim bail on the grounds of tampering with evidence and influencing witnesses.

The court will consider Kavitha’s plea seeking permanent bail on April 20. Kavitha has been remanded in judicial custody till Tuesday. ED said that Kavita had already destroyed some evidence related to the case and that Kavita was one of the main masterminds of the liquor policy scam. Accused.

On March 15, E.D. Kavitha was arrested. ED at Kavitha’s residence in Hyderabad. The inspection was done. Kavita was taken into custody after that. The very next day Kavita was ED for seven days. Released in custody. Later the custody was extended for another three days.
