Encounter in Chhattisgarh Forest: Security Forces Neutralize Naxalite, Two Officers Injured

Raipur: A confrontation between security forces and Maoists took place in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, resulting in the neutralization of a Naxalite and injuries to two security personnel. The encounter occurred in the forest area of Mung village, Gangloor.

The District Reserve Guard initiated a search operation based on intelligence regarding the presence of Maoists in the area. The clash happened as a patrolling team attempted to encircle the area. From the neutralized Naxalite, authorities recovered a 9mm pistol, an IED, and six remote switches used to activate IEDs. Further details about the deceased individual have not yet been disclosed.

Meanwhile, the BJP has claimed that a party worker, identified as Kudiam Mado, was killed by Naxalites for allegedly passing information to the police. The victim was reportedly called out of his home, strangled, and murdered.
