Prayagraj: A fire broke out again at the Mahakumbh Mela site. The incident occurred on Friday morning in Sector 18, Shankaracharya Marg, Prayagraj. Rescue operations are underway in the area, and according to national media reports citing PTI, there are no casualties.
Inspector Yogesh Chaturvedi of Khak Chowk Police Station stated that the fire broke out in a camp at Tulsi Chauraha on Old GT Road. Authorities confirmed that the situation is under control, and the extent of the damage will be assessed once the fire is completely extinguished.
This is the second fire incident at the Kumbh Mela site. Last month, a fire destroyed 15 tents. Additionally, on January 29, a stampede at the Mahakumbh Mela site resulted in the deaths of 30 people.
