Grenade attack on temple in Amritsar; Investigators suspect a Pakistan connection

Chandigarh: A grenade attack targeted a temple in Khandwala, Amritsar. The Amritsar police suspect a possible Pakistan connection. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The temple priest, who was nearby at the time of the attack, escaped unharmed.

The attack occurred around 12:35 AM on Saturday when two individuals arrived on a motorcycle and hurled a grenade at the Thakurdwara temple. The police have obtained CCTV footage of the incident.

The footage shows two young men approaching the temple on a bike and throwing the grenade, followed by a loud explosion. The attackers then fled the scene immediately.

Authorities suspect Pakistan’s involvement, as similar attacks have been carried out in the past. A detailed investigation is currently underway.
