The CBI will take statements from the siblings of a Dalit girl who was gang-raped to death in Hathras. The CBI has issued notices to all the three to appear. The incident was reported by CBI officials yesterday and information was sought from family members.
The brother was questioned by CBI officials for four hours. The mother’s statement will be recorded at home. He also took his brothers and father to the CBI office. The statement will be taken today.
The case is being investigated by a 15-member team. The incident was retold based on the statement given by the girl’s family. The CBI collected evidence from the place where the girl was cremated. Meanwhile, the UP government has decided to oppose the transfer of the Hathras case outside Uttar Pradesh. The CBI also registered an FIR against him on charges of murder and gang rape. The girl’s family had yesterday demanded that the details of the case investigation not be released.
